General

Q.

Is the Chute Switch available in a dust-ignition-proof construction?

A.

We previously offered this specification; however, it is no longer available because the limit switch compliant with dust explosion protection has been discontinued.

As an alternative, we can provide a flameproof (explosion-proof) type or an intrinsically safe type. Please note that the intrinsically safe type requires the addition of a relay barrier on the control panel side.

Q.

It is difficult to install the Chute Switch on the side wall of the chute.

Is there an alternative solution?

A.

The following level switches are applicable depending on the site conditions.

  1. Tilt Switch

  2. Capacitance Level Switch

  3. Vibrating Level Switch

  4. Rotary Paddle Level Switch

Please contact us if you need our technical advice.

Q.

Is any moisture-proof or humidity-resistant option available?

The product will be used in a humid environment.

A.

Yes.

The maximum allowable humidity for the standard model is 85% RH.

For environments exceeding 85% RH, we can offer a moisture-proof microswitch option rated up to 95% RH.

However, please contact us in such cases, as the option specifications may vary depending on the conditions.

Q.

Is the Chute Switch suitable for low-density materials?

A.

Yes.

It can detect low-density materials down to a minimum bulk density of 0.7 by adjusting the actuating force (optional).

For materials with a bulk density lower than 0.7, we can offer alternative level switches.

Please contact us if you require assistance in selecting the most suitable level switch for your application.
