Q. | Why does the conveyor belt run misaligned even when a self-aligning carrier is installed? |
|---|---|
A. | A self-aligning carrier temporarily corrects belt misalignment by shifting its position. However, once the belt is realigned, it tends to become misaligned again because the root cause of the misalignment has not been eliminated. As a result, a cycle of misalignment and correction is repeatedly generated. Typical root causes of belt misalignment include improper conveyor installation, uneven material loading, and build-up or wear on pulleys. Eliminating these root causes is the most effective solution. However, if this is difficult, we recommend using a Motor-operated Adjusting Carrier with a stronger corrective force. |
Q. |
What is the lowest ambient operating temperature? The product is intended for use on conveyors or stacker-reclaimers in extremely cold areas. |
|---|---|
A. | We have reference installations operating at temperatures down to −30°C. However, the allowable operating temperature depends on the model specifications as well as the site conditions, so please contact us to confirm suitability for your application. |
Q. |
Is any moisture-proof or humidity-resistant option available? The product will be used in a humid environment. |
|---|---|
A. | Yes. The maximum allowable humidity for the standard model is 85% RH. For environments exceeding 85% RH, we can offer a moisture-proof microswitch option rated up to 95% RH. However, please contact us in such cases, as the option specifications may vary depending on the conditions. |

Q. | Where should detectors for the Motor-operated Adjusting Carrier be mounted? |
|---|---|
A. | Detectors should be mounted at locations where belt misalignment is severe. The mounting position of the Adjusting Carrier should be determined based on operating conditions and the situation of misalignment. Please contact us if you require further assistance or technical advice. |
