Sounding V is an electromechanical level transmitter that measures the level of bulk solid materials by lowering the sensing weight into the silo using a motor-driven wire-rope reel. When the weight reaches the material surface, it retracts the wire and calculates the level by the traveling distance of the weight.
Stable level measurement unaffected by material properties such as dielectric constant, bulk density, etc. because of the mechanical principle.
The mature mechanical principle provides reliable measurement even in dusty atmospheres where non-contact technologies may be limited.
Cost of the level measurement unit is equivalent to the cost of only a few point-level detection switches.

Level measurement can be started by applying AC power supply and pressing the measurement switch.
No complicated commissioning required.

The 1.2Kg sensing weight allows stable level measurement free from flying dust or gas environment.
Sounding V measures the level of bulk solids using a motor-driven wire-rope mechanism with a sensing weight.
During a measurement cycle, the motor lowers the sensing weight from its home position into the silo.
When the weight contacts the material surface, the contact is detected by a change in wire tension.
The motor then reverses to retract the wire-rope and the system calculates the material level based on the measured travel distance of the sensing weight.
